Winter Wonderland in March

So the weather guys on t.v. have been building this weather event up for about a week now. Usually, Oklahoma weather changes at a moments notice, so I really didn't pay much attention to the reports and went ahead to OKC this morning with David. We left at 7am and there was a lot of rain on the turnpike, but no snow or ice. Made it to OKC safely. On our way back, everything was ok until we reached Stroud, then it was a winter wonderland!!! The Tulsa area had 6 inches of snow! For some reason, right when we walked in, Cassie and Cotton were begging to go outside. Cotton just stayed on the porch, but Cassie ventured out.
Of course, it will only last a day as it is supposed to be in the 50s tomorrow. Go figure!

Finally blogging!

I've decided to start this blog since our lives are crazy and I never call anyone anymore! Even though we have been in Tulsa for almost two years now, it does not feel like home yet and I miss everyone dearly. We always thought 'just an hour away' is no big deal. However, it really does make a difference.

We are trying to have a better outlook on Tulsa. Since David started school, Tulsa has grown on him. He is meeting more people and enjoys clinicals and work. Our first year here, all he could talk about was 'when we move back home'. Now, his future plans include Tulsa. We will see. For now, I will try my best to keep the blog updated in a timely fashion. My goal right now is to post at least once a week. Of course, I will posts lots of pics of the doggies, once I figure out what is wrong with my camera!! I refuse to spend the $90 the camera-fixer-man wants "just to take a look at it"! So, I may have to buy a brand new camera if I can't get my old one (only 2 years old) to work. :(

The big move downtown is next week. I can't wait to be back in my favorite place, and closer to work. I will email everyone our new address. I haven't packed much. I've had TOO MUCH going on between work, school and work. That is for another post.
OH! One last thing I forgot to mention. My brother is living with us. He has been here for about three months. He needed some time away from OKC and of course I told him our house is always open. It has actually been SO much fun living with him. We haven't lived together since I was 16 yrs old. I really enjoy spending time with him now. We are so different in so many ways (I am the 'nerdy one' in his opinion), however, little does he know, we really do have so many things in common when it comes to life's challenges and our moral core. I love him dearly and am so proud of him everyday, even when he does not so smart things. Please keep him in your prayers as he finds himself in this new life in Tulsa.

Blessings
